The Sea of Japan is the sea which lies in the northeastern side of the Japanese islands, bound by the Japanese islands, the Russian mainland, and South and North Korea.

Unlike the warm and vast Pacific Ocean which flows toward the American continent, the Sea of Japan is narrow, and its area is shared by the three countries.

The Sea of Japan, however, has crystal-clear water of low temperature, incomparably beautiful to the Pacific Ocean.

The inland sea is as calm as a lake, and is still as if it is a mirror at the windless time.
